About The Owner : Tracey Bigelow
Hey hey…. Welcome to my website.
It’s been a fabulous journey for me into the world of pottery. My NANA was a teaching potter who owned The (original) Pottery Nook in western Massachusetts back in the 1950’s. I own many pieces of her original work that I cherish. When I decided to get into making / creating / designing pottery, it was just natural for me to use the same name :) <3
My journey started while looking for a fulfilling hobby. The kids moved out and it was just Margot (Woof!) and me. I remembered how much I loved doing pottery and how grounded and relaxed it made me feel. I took some local classes back in 2016 and boom, it was just like riding a bike… off I went. In 2019, I opened a wonderful home studio where my pup, Margot, and I spend many, many hours in my peaceful place :). I enjoy making functional pottery as well as decorative pottery using natural elements. Mugs, bowls, dishes as well as wind chimes, bird baths and I’m playing around with garden totems.
I have a small studio that can accommodate 2 students at a time. It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere so students get personal attention.
In addition to my home studio, I’m also featured at local craft shows during the year. My son, who happens to be a local glass blower, often joins me. Feel free to check out his work here @ArtOfBrianBigelow
It’s been a pleasure meeting you. Please reach out to me with any questions or comments.
